OSCARES - Nomeados da Academia
Com 11 nomeações O Regresso do Rei lidera a corrida para a estatueta dourada. Surpresas foram muitas como as nomeações de Seabiscuit, Fernando Meireles e Keisha Castle-Hughes. Cold Mountain foi o grande derrotado.
O último capitulo da saga do Senhor dos Aneis deu hoje um passo de gigante para a confirmação de que 2004 é mesmo o ano da Tera Média. Para além de Melhor Filme e Melhor Realizador, o filme de Peter Jackson coleccionou outras 9 nomeações.
A grande surpresa foram as 10 nomeações de Master and Commander, que mesmo asim não viu Russell Crowe ser eleito um dos 5 actores do ano.
Mystic River e Lost in Translation e Seabiscuit são os restantes filmes que podem bater o pé ao consagrado Regresso do Rei.
Surpresas houve-as sem dúvida. Nicole Kidman, Tom Cruise, Russell Crowe, Diane Lane, Albert Finney, Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mingella e acima de tudo Cold Mountain. O épico da Miramax não foi incluido em nenhuma das categorias princiapais, salvando-se apenas Renné Zellweger como secundária.
Peter Jackson, Sean Penn, Charlize Theron, Tim Robbins e Zellweger partem na linha da frente. Aqui ficam os principais nomeados.
A decisão final da Academia será conhecida a 29 de Fevereiro.
