Marilyn Monroe, Gene Tierney, Barbara Stanwyck e uma infinidade de nomes que nunca viram o seu talento premiado.
A Academia sempre teve uma paixão por actrizes britânicas e talvez por isso grandes nomes da interpretação americanas no femino ficaram sem nada.
Começa aqui a nova rúbrica do Pipoca. O nome diz tudo. Trata-se de fazer Justiça...
Num país tão centrado no papel do herói foi dificil sempre ás actrizes imporem o seu talento, mais do que exibirem o seu corpo. Hollywood nunca se deu bem com essa situação e muitas vezes confundiu talento com beleza. Assim nomes cintilantes ficaram sempre fora das honras da Academia em detrimento de mulheres mais secas, sempre com traços feministas, fugindo ao esteriótipo de wondergirl. Mas como beleza e talento também coabitam o Pipoca decidiu recriar a história dos Óscares de uma forma que a Academia não logrou conseguir.
